We’re excited to share the latest video from the TÁRSASÁG YouTube channel, which presents a clear and detailed rules overview of the INVENTORY card game series. The video was created by Kornél Fekete, who is not only a great content creator but also one of Private Moon Studios’ experienced game masters – you may have met him teaching Twilight City at our events. This time, he dives into the smaller but trickier games of the INVENTORY series, showcasing his usual precision and clarity.

The Anahita expansion made its debut at the Board Game Expo and was immediately put to the test in the finals of the National Caravanserai Championship. Players faced a serious challenge adapting to the new rules and the introduction of two new characters: the arbab and Anahita. The arbab brings unpredictable disruptions as he moves across the board, while Anahita finally makes it possible to enjoy Caravanserai solo – a long-awaited feature for many. This expansion also shines in two-player games, offering new movement options and tactical depth. During the tournament, it became clear that the added elements significantly increase strategic planning and time management.

A Quick Look Back at the Board Game Expo
We had a fantastic time at this year's "end-of-term" Board Game Expo, and we wanted to preserve the experience in some way. While we don’t have a full photo report or detailed write-up this time, we did find a short video that perfectly captures the atmosphere of our booth.

🎭 More than just a dance – Private Moon Studios is proud to announce that Pierrot’s latest (seemingly wild but truly exciting) idea has come to life! Over the past ten weeks, a small but passionate team collaborated, brainstormed, and playtested during the very first TársasJátékLabor workshop, resulting in a completely new, in-house developed board game: BALL AT THE WINSLOW HALL.

This elegant eurogame takes place during an aristocratic ball, where players intrigue, gain influence, lobby – and of course, dance! 💃 Hidden schemes unfold behind the grand walls of the manor, and only those who can skillfully navigate social hierarchies and political intentions will succeed.

The game demands deep, long-term strategic thinking and already shows great promise. Today marks the end of the workshop – but this is only the beginning. The testing phase is about to start!

🎥 The D3 Meeples YouTube channel has released two perfectly timed new videos, offering short and clear introductions to the Dervish and Opium expansions for the CARAVANSERAI board game.

🐫 These videos are especially useful now, as the compact metal-box modules play a key role in the semifinals of the Caravanserai National Championship, held as part of the Pierrot Roadshow. So it's definitely an advantage to be familiar with them before they appear on your game table!

We recently spent a truly enjoyable evening at Reflexshop’s Buda store, where the board game Twilight City was introduced as part of their game club event.

The game master was Pierrot, who explained the rules at four different tables and guided participants through this unique, complex, and beautifully designed eurogame. The attendees included both seasoned gamers and enthusiastic casual players — two of them even showed up wearing Twilight City T-shirts!

The always thorough and enthusiastic Feri Szekeres (D3Meeples) has created a rules explanation video for the Hímes Tojások card game — a perfect guide for anyone discovering the game for the first time.

Hímes Tojások is an easy-to-learn yet decision-rich card game in which each player takes two phases during their turn: first, they draw cards, then use various card manipulation actions to convert those cards into points. The goal is to collect sets of matching-colored eggs. One of the game’s most unique features is the rabbit mechanic, which introduces unpredictable yet rewarding twists.

Scoring is based not only on completed sets but also on the rabbits drawn and the number of sun symbols on placed cards. Players are supported by a reference sheet that makes it easy to understand all six action types — even in the very first game.

Recommended for ages 8 and up, the game plays in about 25 minutes and supports 1 to 6 players.

Today, Telex published a front-page article featuring a Christmas board game guide, where Gergely Nádori introduced his selection of games, categorized by price range. We are proud to announce that Twilight City was included in the list, receiving high praise!

We are delighted to announce that the first release of Cuvée is completely sold out! Judging by the positive feedback we have received, we can safely say that no one is regretting their purchase. For those who missed out, the second (unchanged) edition is already on its way and will be available in the stores and here in our webshop at the end of February/beginning of March.

But there is more. The eagerly awaited English version will arrive with the same shipment. It will be offered primarily to customers abroad, but we have also received several enquiries from companies wishing to offer Cuvée as a gift to their partners. It will soon be available in the webshop!

A very special event took place recently: three of the most watched Hungarian board game reviewers (Pumi Games, D3-Meeples and Mit Játsszunk?) gathered at Pierrot's house to match their strengths in a Cuvée party! It’s ready! We have just received this video showing the opening of a freshly printed "box of Cuvée".

Did you know that games like Ark Nova, Oltrée, Clank!, Bitoku, Isle of Cats, and even 7 Wonders: Duel were also manufactured by Whatz Games in China?

Once the decision was made, Pierrot carried out the final tests with the prototype of Cuvée, and the artist Laci Falvay prepared the components for printing. In the meantime, we began to look for a manufacturer.

Although we had been determined to work with a local Hungarian printer, in the end it proved to be more efficient to choose another solution. And we chose Whatz Games. Their highly professional team exceeded all expectations!

The boxes will arrive by air and train from China.

We are proud to announce a long-term partnership between Private Moon Studios and the largest Hungarian wine trading company Bortársaság.

Bortársaság will offer Cuvée in their wine shops and promote it in their online store. In return, we will give the most loyal fans of the game an annual Bortársaság membership card, as well as a promotional pack of Cuvée expansion cards made by Pierrot for this special purpose.

Cuvée has been around in prototype for many years, matured through hundreds of playtests. And we have received nothing but positive feedback lately.

The game has been tested not only by professional game testers, but also by hardcore gamers, winemakers and wine experts. Many people came back with promising comments like "I know what strategy I'd try next - if the others would let me". These experience tests encouraged us to choose Cuvée as our first own publication.

Furthermore, Cuvée is a game specifically designed for experienced players. As such, it has always been outside the focus of local publishers, who, for obvious reasons, are looking for games that appeal to a wider audience.

However, we are confident that gamers appreciate this type of games. Also, we fell in love with Laszlo Falvay’s artwork, which makes Cuvé even more special.

Laszlo (Laci) Falvay, the artist behind Cuvée, had previously worked on a number of Pierrot's productions, including the artwork for his music albums and his PC adventure game series AGON. Since then, Laci has become a well-known PR professional and also a wine expert. And yet, although an enthusiastic board game fan, he had a dislike for the wine-themed games available on the market.

So, together they decided to buy and play all the wine-making games that counted. The picture became more balanced, but the challenge remained: create the ideal winemaking simulator game! Pierrot got to work – and his artist friend was so pleased with the result that he immediately offered to create the artwork and graphics for the game. Cuvée was born.

Although the translation may sound a bit strange in Hungarian, Private Moon Studios has been a renowned name in our country for decades. In 2023 the company is exactly 30 years old, and we thought it deserved a new profile to light up our flagged moon on this special occasion.

It started out as Pierrot's music production company, working with many popular musicians of the time, like Ganxsta Zolee, Rémember, O.J. Sámson, Toys of Ancient Gods and others.

It then became an editorial office for computer game magazines, and eventually a development studio for Pierrot's own computer games (the AGON series, Yoomurjak's Ring, Miazma and others). At the same time, a division of the company ran a record label of the same name.

Now that Pierrot has recently been focusing on board game design, we have decided to make board game publishing our new line of business and become the publisher of his own creations in the country and abroad.

Cuvée is our first choice.
