Kereszt és félhold (Cross and Crescent)
Kereszt és félhold (Cross and Crescent) is a 2- or 4-player abstract wargame that provides a framework for replaying battles between the European allied forces and the Ottoman armies in the 16th and 17th centuries. The game is a genuine battle game, but at the same time it is a Eurogame based on abstract strategic elements that leave nothing to chance. With this unique combination, even those players can experience the thrill of battle who are not typically fond of similar games with a high luck factor. The game can be played by 2 or 4 players - in the latter case in semi-cooperative mode.
Each round consists of two phases: in the first phase players prepare their operations behind their screens; in the second phase the commands are executed and the clash takes place. Players control their armies by command cards, using an intriguing deck-building mechanism to develop their tactics. On the board, they earn points not only by combat, but also by territory capture.
The rulebook includes 4 historical battle scenarios, but the modular board also allows players to set up a custom play area, offering limitless replayability.
